A Night at the Races
DATE: January 12, 2017PLACE: Laurel Manor Rec CenterTIME: 6:00 – 8:30pmCOST: $1.00 per member and $2.00 per guest accompanied by a member. You will receive a racing card at the door. There will be approximately 6 races and a Daily Double. Bets will be $1.00 per horse per race and $2.00 for the Daily Double.FOOD: BYOB and snacks to share with your table. The Club will provide coffee and water. 50/50 will be held.TABLES: There will be 8 at a table which will be assigned as tickets are purchased. If you wish to sit together, please purchase all tickets at the same time.TICKETS: These will be sold on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4th and THURSDAY, JANUARY 5th from 10:00 – 11:00am on the front porch of PIMLICO REC CENTERDUES: 2017 dues of $5.00 per person are payable as of January 1st. To attend any meeting, dues must be paid. At the time you purchase your tickets, you may pay your dues. If paying by check, please make the check payable to BSC.

Ticket Sales:
Buy tickets in person: on the front porch of Pimlico Rec Center on Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9, 10:00 – 11:00 am. If you are going to be out of town during ticket sale times, call Eileen McKinney, 751-5824 by January 8 to get your tickets.
Tables: There will be 8 people at a table. Seats will be assigned when tickets purchased. If you wish to sit together as a group, you must purchase your tickets at the same time.
(Tickets not available after January 9 nor at the door.)
Fifty-Fifty raffle will be held.

New Procedures for 2015
1. Your 2014 membership ends as of December 31, 2014. Please update your e-mail information so you will receive e-mails announcing exciting events for the New Year. Also watch the bulletin board at the mail station and the Recreation News in the Daily Sun for upcoming event announcements.
2. Good news! Membership dues will remain the same as last year at $5 per person. Remember your dues must be paid before attending any event (social/summer golf). The dues are based on a calendar year January 1, 2015 thru December 31, 2015 no matter when paid.
Dues may be paid at the same time and place when you purchase your event tickets (see announcement at the end of this message).
3. We will no longer be reserving seats in advance but you still can purchase tickets as a group1 and we will seat you at a table together. If you do not have a group we will place you at a table when you pick up and pay for your tickets. Seating is based on a limited number of tables so all seats must be filled.

Here’s the scoop:
The tickets $1/member and $2 for guest of member (with a visitor’s pass). This amount covers the cost of your race entry card that will be given out the night of the event (so don’t forget your ticket). Horse bucks will be available to purchase $1 each … please bring small bills.
We will be assigning tables of 8 people or we will place you at the table if you don’t have a group. Please bring a snack to share at your table. The club will provide coffee/lemonade and ice water… BYOB.
No tickets sold after Wednesday January 3rd or at door (or sold out).

Our 2013 membership dues ($5/member) are due beginning in January and must be paid before attending any events or playing in our summer golf scramble.
