Due to a scheduling conflict, we will not have a casino night in March as planned. Instead we will have the ever-popular Belvedere Derby horse racing event. Details to follow.
Belvedere Club Derby Kicks Off The New Year
A huge crowd of Belvederians gathered at Laurel Manor last Thursday, January 12, 2017, to kick off 2017 with a whoosh. That’s the sound of the thoroughbreds racing by, hooves-a-pounding, to the finish line.
Some won some lost, but a good time was had by all.
DATE: January 12, 2017PLACE: Laurel Manor Rec CenterTIME: 6:00 – 8:30pmCOST: $1.00 per member and $2.00 per guest accompanied by a member. You will receive a racing card at the door. There will be approximately 6 races and a Daily Double. Bets will be $1.00 per horse per race and $2.00 for the Daily Double.FOOD: BYOB and snacks to share with your table. The Club will provide coffee and water. 50/50 will be held.TABLES: There will be 8 at a table which will be assigned as tickets are purchased. If you wish to sit together, please purchase all tickets at the same time.TICKETS: These will be sold on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4th and THURSDAY, JANUARY 5th from 10:00 – 11:00am on the front porch of PIMLICO REC CENTERDUES: 2017 dues of $5.00 per person are payable as of January 1st. To attend any meeting, dues must be paid. At the time you purchase your tickets, you may pay your dues. If paying by check, please make the check payable to BSC.

6:00 to 9:00 pm
Admission: $1 per person, guests $2 per person (with guest id and member). Admission includes racing form issued on racing night. Please bring $1 bills for wagering.
Buy tickets in person: on the front porch of Pimlico Rec Center on Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9, 10:00 – 11:00 am. If you are going to be out of town during ticket sale times, call Eileen McKinney, 751-5824 by January 8 to get your tickets.
Tables: There will be 8 people at a table. Seats will be assigned when tickets purchased. If you wish to sit together as a group, you must purchase your tickets at the same time.
(Tickets not available after January 9 nor at the door.)
Fifty-Fifty raffle will be held.
Reminder: As always, to participate in any event your membership dues of $5.00 per person must be paid.
